well, not too much happened today. I woke up at 1:30, effectivly missing lunch and went about my day. I did some stuff online, not very much. I also spoke to Isolde (my host mother) and her mother, had a little conversation. Then I listened to music and read. Really quiet day where nothing really happened. Oh! Of course, I started writing a short story. It is about a fight between the father and the mother of a child. I tell the same story, once from the child's point of view, once from the mother's, and once from the father's.
Well, that's all folks!

It's Mom:
Hey, Brendan, sorry I missed your call. I was at an Association of Waldorf Schools of North America conference all day at the grade school. I'm also going to another conference in New Hampshire April 11 - 15, and then taking Class 11 to Houston from April 16 - 20. So, it's a very busy time. I was talking to Bill Warnock today, and he was saying that the canoe trip slated for August would be perfect for you--challenging, but not impossible. If you can, check it out at www.heimdall-by-canoe.org. If you're interested in going, I should probably act on it sooner rather than later. Of course, you'll not be around for the other ones. And I can schedule our time in D.C. around that too. Either before or after. Saw Robbie McKay as well, who sympathizes with your predicament but offers the consolation that you'll eventually really enjoy it. Just live into the experience. Totally. Are you going clubbing anytime soon? Are you working on your German coursework? Try writing about Thermopylae in English and then translating it into German as best you can. Also, I'd love to hear more about your discovery of Magic-playing comrades. Have you actually played with them yet, etc. etc.?
Love,
Mom
