day fourteen

Hey people, how's it going? Things over here are going rather well, I am starting to adjust and therefore feel substantially better. I had a good day today, went to school and all that. I read the entirety of THE STRANGER, by Albert Camus for the second time. It is a life-changing book and I believe that everybody must read it.
We had sport class today, in which we played soccer, which isn't as much fun here because everybody is better than me. Oh well, guess I'll have to deal with it. It is now the 21st day of my trip, though only 14 have been in Germany. It feels like only a week ago I waved good-bye to my family in the airport, funny how these things work.
I spent a long time today trying to find an ATM, and after a while managed to convey what that is. I am going to it tomorrow, and I shall withdraw another €60. I am still not quite done with the first sixty but I think sixty every three weeks sounds fairly reasonable.
I also watched German TV today, advice given by Teddy. I watched Spongebob Squarepants, which was even funnier in German.
I have been asked to make cultural observations, so I shall make one a day.
TODAY'S: The German's never drink plain water, it is always carbonated.

Well, that's about it. I'd appreciate more posts, it's pretty lonely without your comments.

Brendan, or, to these people, He Who Is An American.

Glad to hear that you're going to make more observations about Germany. I'd like them more than a simpl list. What are your cogitations? I'm glad that you're enjoying your reading, but unless you're prepare to actually engage in a productive discussion of Camus, Twain or others, I want to hear about your TRIP! So do others. Really.
